Looking for a local NGO partner in Bangladesh?

Social Care is a registered humanitarian organisation based in Cox's Bazar that implements projects in Bangladesh on behalf of international charities, foundations and institutional donors. You raise the funds; our team delivers the work on the ground and sends back the documentation your donors and trustees expect.

We have installed 670+ tube wells, built 5+ masjids, fed 200,000+ families and run a free school for 120 street children — in the Rohingya refugee camps and in the host communities of Cox's Bazar.

Where we work

  • Cox's Bazar — our base, with projects across the marginalised host communities and climate-affected families of the district.
  • Rohingya refugee camps — water points, shelters, masjids, Iftar and Qurbani inside the camps of Ukhiya and Teknaf.
  • Elsewhere in Bangladesh — on request, after we confirm access, feasibility and costs for the location.

Why charities work through a local implementation partner

  • Lower cost per project — no expatriate staff or international overheads between your donors and the beneficiaries.
  • Speed — a local team that can deliver a tubewell within days of funds arriving.
  • Islamic giving done correctly — Zakat to eligible recipients, Sadaqah Jariyah projects built to last, Qurbani distributed fresh.
  • Evidence for your donors — dated photos, video and receipts for every project, in a format you can publish.

How partnership works

  1. You tell us what you want to deliver. A project type, a budget, or a full programme plan — Social Care welcomes any plan for the wellbeing of the ummah.
  2. We cost it and propose a pilot. You receive itemised costs in USD and a suggested first project, often a single tubewell or a food distribution.
  3. Funds arrive in our registered NGO account. Banking details and registration documents are shared directly with partner organisations.
  4. Our team implements on the ground. Single projects such as a tubewell are usually completed within 5 days of funds arriving.
  5. You receive the full report. Dated photographs, video from the site, the location, beneficiary details and receipts — ready for your own donors and trustees.

Frequently asked questions

Can Social Care implement projects anywhere in Bangladesh?

Our core operations are in Cox's Bazar district, including the Rohingya refugee camps of Ukhiya and Teknaf. For projects in other districts we first confirm access, feasibility and costs, and we only accept work we can deliver and document ourselves.

How do international charities send funds to Bangladesh?

Partner organisations transfer funds internationally to Social Care's registered NGO bank account in Bangladesh. We share full banking details and our registration documents directly with each partner organisation.

What is the smallest project we can start with?

Most partnerships begin with a pilot — a single $100 tubewell, a food distribution or a masjid repair — so you can judge our delivery and reporting before committing to a larger programme.

What reporting does a partner organisation receive?

Every project comes back with dated photographs, video from the site, the location and community served, beneficiary details and receipts for materials and work — ready for your own donor reporting.

Do you work with foundations and institutional donors as well as Islamic charities?

Yes. We work with Islamic charities, foundations, community groups and institutional funders that need a trusted ground partner in Bangladesh, and we welcome any plan that serves the wellbeing of the ummah.

Can we visit the projects?

Yes. Partner organisations are welcome to visit our projects and team in Cox's Bazar, and we help arrange field visits.
