The questions charity organisations ask us most often before starting a partnership in Bangladesh.
Social Care is a Cox's Bazar-based humanitarian organisation that acts as a ground implementation partner for Islamic charities worldwide. Partner organisations raise funds abroad; our team delivers the project in Bangladesh and returns the documentation the partner needs for its own donors and trustees.
No. We do not compete with partner organisations for their donors. We work behind the scenes so that a charity can deliver real work in Bangladesh without opening its own office here.
Most partnerships begin with a single small pilot project — one tubewell, one food distribution, or a masjid repair. This lets your organisation judge our delivery and our reporting before committing to anything larger. Contact us with what you would like to deliver and we will send costings and a proposed plan.
Our standard delivered costs in Cox's Bazar are: hot meal $1.20, Qur'an $1.90, school kit $3.20, baby formula $10.50, dry food package for a family $15, medicine support for an elderly person $40, Sadaqah Qurbani goat $95, tubewell $100, Rohingya camp shelter $500, deep water well $650, permanent home for a family $1,200, camp masjid $2,400 and a full masjid with concrete roof $13,000. Larger volumes and multi-project programmes are quoted individually.
Social Care holds a registered NGO bank account in Bangladesh and regularly receives international transfers from partner organisations in many countries. Full banking details, registration documents and a signed partnership agreement are shared directly with partner organisations on request.
Every project is returned with dated photographs, video from the field, beneficiary lists and receipts for items purchased. Partner organisations use this material directly in their own donor reporting, newsletters and social media.
Yes. Partner organisations are welcome to visit Cox's Bazar, see the Magic Board School and the project sites, and meet the team. We arrange the itinerary locally.
Yes. Social Care works actively with the Rohingya refugee community in the camps of Ukhiya and Teknaf — water points, shelters, masjids, Ramadan Iftar and food distribution — alongside the marginalised Bangladeshi host communities around them.
Zakat funds are delivered to eligible recipients in line with Islamic principles, and we report separately on Zakat-funded distributions. Sadaqah, Lillah and Sadaqah Jariyah projects such as wells and masjids are handled as their own categories. Tell us the category of the funds and we will deliver and report accordingly.
Yes. Social Care welcomes any plan a partner organisation wants to implement for the wellbeing of the ummah. Bring us your programme and we will cost it, deliver it and report on it.
Because our team is already based in Cox's Bazar, most distributions can begin within days of funds arriving. Construction projects follow a schedule agreed with the partner organisation before work begins.
We correspond with partner organisations in English, and work in Bengali and Rohingya on the ground. Arabic correspondence can be arranged.
